Very nice. I don't recall how big this tank is? Those discus look huge in it!

Its 3ft. I'm hoping to upgrade to a bigger tank next year.

I have had those loutus' (2 x Red Tiger, I x Red Malay and the Tri Coloured) for about 3 years now I think.

Ado, great effort. couple questions. did you completely remove the original substrate? I'm thing of doing a similar make-over, but I've heard about pH spikes etc etc if you completely remove/replace the original substrate. Did you notice any movement in the pH when you did the rescaping?

Ph was steady. I didnt change the sand this time.
I changed the sand about a year ago. As its inert it made no difference to the Ph.
If your current substrate is ADA or some other soil that buffers the Ph then you may see a change in the Ph when you change the substrate.
