Hi i was wondering if you can use ox liver instead of beef hearts for discus food as ox liver would work out heaps cheaper to make and you wouldnt have to cut off the fat

Im not sure if it applies to fish, but the liver is high in vitamin A, and if you eat to much of it it will cause scurvy. Occasionally it would probably be fine, but as a staple used everyday Im not sure how good it would be.

ox liver is very very messy business ...you can add a little in the heart mixture ...but i wouldnt use it as a
main ingredient

A small amount in with your beef heart mix would be fine, but not as the main ingredient.
