Housing Rams and Apistos together

I have a 3ft tank which currently houses a pair of Neon Blue Rams. I am considering adding a pair of Apistos but being aware of the possible problems i am a bit hesitant.

Has anyone kept both in the same tank and were there any aggression issues?

I've not found it successful but it all can depend upon the Apistos too...Rams have their water requirements as do Apistos so if both species like the same water thats a bonus. 3 foot ain't a bad size if its full of hidey holes etc.

Its not the fishes water requirement s that I'm concerned with, more the possible aggression issues.

You are not likely to have aggression problems -they do breed in different locations so hence the aggression associated with breeding locations is limited.

However Rams do like the higher temps to be at there best. At temps Rams are happy Apistos have shorter lives. I do not recommend the mix.
