For a good quality breeding pair you will be looking at $650-$1000

It all depends on the strain, quality of the fish, age, etc.

I have seen plenty of nice confirmed pairs for $400.

generally 400 is the norm, some will be higher and some will be less. the ones that are less are usually a stupid cross(like pigeon x turk or similar) or are old.

Isnt it more fun to make your own pairs. Just get between 4 and 10 discus and you will get pairs. Rod from simply discus has beautifull fish.

Best be careful about the mix though as some blends can be an awful disaster.
