Hi all

well I finally managed to get some discus off a member on this forum, so a HUGE thank you to Icarus. He was a great bloke who had some really nice discus! I wish I had more money.

Well here are some pics :)

Nice little turqs!! Lots of good food and clean water and I think you'll be on a winner.

Good find. ;)

Thanks swampy :) I really like them. They are a bit picky with their food I have noticed, I will have to get into contact with Icarus and figure out which pellet it was that he feeds them as they dont seem to like mine lol

Might just be a settling in thing.

The Discus I purchased recently wouldn't eat anything I offered until frozen bloodworm was gieven in desparation. I ended up hand feeding them to keep the takk mates away.

They accept pellets - as long as its hand fed. Not sure how flake will go but I'm going to give it a try.

The wife reckons I treat them better than I treated our kids! I told her its just I am more experienced now.

Cheers,
Scott

Frozen bloodworm usually gets most fish going. If your concerned, give them a couple of days without feeding (it won't hurt them) then put a small amount of bloodworm in to rouse their interest.
Anytime mine go off their food (rarely) I don't feed them for a couple of days. It's amazing how willing they become to try whatever's put in their after that. ;)

Hi Mitsui,

I'm glad the fish are doing well

They were feeding well on tetra colorbits, new life pellets and freeze dried black worms.

I avoid feeding the fish blood worms if I can, that way they don't get too fussy

HTH

Cheers Icarus
