hi al new to forum
im from st ives nsw ive got 3 tanks going at the moment 1 community tank 1 grow out tank and one new tank
im into cichlids ,catfish ,loachs and few others
my new tank is 61x31x46 would that tank be big enough for discus or am i dreaming
hope to get to know everyone an :) d pick your brains

Hi ther jimmyr!

Welcome to our friendly forum. A good rule of thumb is to allocate 40litres of of water per discus as that is what they will need when adults although of course you can push that when they are babies.

I found it is best to have atleast 5 to spread aggression and to get them all approx the same size so that the smallest does not become too bullied.

Do plenty of reading and have you tank right for them before you pay the $$.

There is heaps more to learn but read and ask is the way to go.
