Anyone here have any experience keeping the Nannostomus sp. either with other fish or as a single species setup??
Thanks in advance

i've only kept nannostamus beckfordi, but they are a great little fish, upper water column, active, hovering swimming style, beautiful jousting matches between males - i love them. they eat anything, are bold and inquisitive. i've kept them in communities and in apisto tanks as dithers - great as both, except that sometimes the males will chase female apistos, i'm assuming because of the strong dark lateral line.

Good to know, thanks. I'm thinking of putting them in a planted setup that will hold some apisto's at some point so all good info

Seems like if you don't have your own tank now, Rob, you soon will.

No still don't have a tank. But that doesn't mean I can't have fish. Just have to be sneaky about where I keep them thats all
