Hoping for some advice!
I got home yesterday and it appears that one of my angels has his mouth stuck open, almost like he has stretched his lips and they have stayed that way. It is also stopping him from eating :?
He is 2 years old, is in an established tank..
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 5
Ph 6.8
Temp 29.5
I can not see anything lodged in his mouth/throat.. the gravel in my tank is .2mm so its definitely not that! Any ideas on what has happened or what I should do?

Unfortunately I have been in hospital, my husband put the post on here for me. I am the soul fish keeper at home, hubby only knows how to feed them  I will have a crack at it tonight.

ok I did it but nothing has changed :?
I pushed his mouth with a cotton bud and my finger several times, I did not feel a click or anything. I have him back in the tank now but he still looks the same  He is still looking like his lips are stretched so what do I do now?
He is also breathing faster than usual, is there anything else that would cause this? :(

faster breathing is from stress it will settle, if it didn't click back in you'll have to do it again, sorry :(

 Still did not work. I am getting very disheartened over this. I actually felt somthing click today but within 5 minutes of putting him back in the tank his lips are stretched. Do I try it again now? or do I wait a day?...
I waited a couple hours and tried again, still nothing  I can not keep knocking him out and putting me and him through this.
Is there any other possible cause of this? He mouth appears fine when I touch it, it goes in no problems at all and looks normal. Within 10 minutes of him 'coming to' it goes back to being stretched out.

it might be just too prone to dislocating it's lips...
at least you tried, many wouldn't even bother

Thanks Mattzilla
I will do anything for my fish, I love them all dearly, hence why I am so frustrated that it is not working. I have had this angel for 2 years and she is beautiful :(
Anything else I can try?
