I have a 6 foot discus tank. Currently I have a 6ft T5 lamp (4 x 39W). I would like to get something a bit better for ground cover plant growth. My budget is $500.00 give or take a bit. Any suggestions?

I don't think Ben's add mentions it, but if you ask him (email or phone) twin power cords can be arranged for only a little extra $$. This allows you to plug each row into a separate timer, so you can simulate the stronger midday sun by having the 2nd row turn on for a few hours in the middle of the day.
The problem with only twin switches, is that you have to be there to manually turn the rows on (if you want to split the timing sequence) otherwise your timer turns both rows on at the same time.
