Hi,
I recently set up a 4ft planted tank(200L) with pressured co2 and I need to decide which light unit to be used. To save cost, I am thinking of using t5 unit ( 4 x 24w) which I used for 2 ft planted tank or 2 x 4ft aqua glo tubes which will replace normal florescent tubes used for keeping cichlids. The 2ft lighting unit is below: http://www.guppysaquariumproducts.com.au/florescent-light-fittings-and-accessories/t5-florescent-light-fittings-supreme-aqua/t5-aquarium-overhead-lighting-4x24w-600-long/prod_11.html
My question is which system is better for plants? Or is it better to use both units together? I tried both units but they create too much heat as they are installed under the hood. The plants in the setup are amazon sword, green tiger lotus, java ferns.
