Hey guys, I have a bottle of meth blue here, but it gives no details as to how long you are supposed to leave your fish in the treatment.

Any advice?

IMO the dose rate that they recommend on the bottle is safe to leave the fish in for ages. I dont know what best practice is but if you are treating the tank I assume you would be doing 30-50% water changes/day or 20% twice a day - this is what I do anyway and it seems to work - Also i think that methylene blue is such a good medication and safer than most.
Good luck
Sean

If I were to go the fishless cycle, can I use the clear ammonia you buy from the supermarket?

The label has no info as to anything in it, its just non sented clear ammonia.

Bronx, give the bottle a good shake. If it forms a foam of fine bubbles on the surface, it's had detergent added and is no good for cycling. No bubbles means it's pure.
