Hi,

I have 2 questions.

I have introduced peat tablets into my filter system a couple of days ago and the water turned yellow with tannins. I am quite satsified with the results obtained. For how long do I leave the peat in the filter. I have carbon pellets to remove the yellow colour....are they good for the discus health? any other suggestions?

Today I introduced two small discus into my 230ltr aquarium...firstly they didnt eat today....and when do I perform the first partial change of water?

thanks

Daniel

you can use purigin or biochem zorb, carbon also works but it takes longer.

my advice is leave it in discus always look better in black water.

give them a full 24hers before offering food then offer just a little food after lights out, they'll get use to it in a few days, id startwater changes on day 3

peat will keep your ph low(er) you NEED to leave it if you want to keep your ph low.

option 2 is to add some kind of acid buffer to your AGED water before your water change
