bettas v discus

i was just having a look over at the Betta forum site and i came across a topic (my 9.5 week old pair have spawned!!!!!!!!!)

WOW if only us discus breeders could be so lucky!!!

9 and 1/2 weeks!!

:lol: Well, how about a post that says my 18month old betta is dead... :cry: as Opposed to, my 18month old discus just had some babies!!! :lol:

Oh well, it's quite interesting how many of the Discus keepers I know that come to SLS are also avid fancy betta lovers.

Think it's probably 'cos both keepers of fancy discus and bettas appreciate bright colours and "show" fish. :wink:

I keep both, but I gotta say, at least discus don't decide to chew on their gorgeous fins just cos they are bored!
