Nitrite gone up!!

hey guys,
i tested my water before my weekly water change last night and my Nirite has gone up to 0.25 after a 50L water change in my 220L tank it is still at 0.25 this morning. doesnt seem to be raising anymore. should i be worried or should i let it sort itself out.

i would think do another water change tonight and see what happens. i wouldnt think it could do any harm. doing the frequent little changes should decrease it gradually which won't shock the fish.

I had a phosphate problem a little while ago which was courtesy of discus buffer( pure sodium phosphate) it took me a week to get it to come down i changed about 1000ltrs over the week in my 4tf tank..

What was your water source? I have heard from someone i trust that tap water occasionally contains some nitrites... Maybe see if your filter takes care of it over the next couple of days... As long as it doesn't get any higher 0.25 shouldn't do much harm if your fish are healthy.
