Gday Nicky,

Got a couple of questions for you which will help determine if I end up buying a couple of these fish as I am interested in breeding discus.

Will a 3 foot (approx 90 litres I think) tank be OK for the breeding pair and whatever offspring they produce as long as there are no others in that tank?

Also, do you only have one female or is there any other(s) that you might have?

And finally, what area of Adelaide are you in?

a 90 Litre tank would be fine for a breeding pair, however fry would have to be moved to a larger tank eventually in order to grow them to their full potential and prevent stunting.

The Big Discus Orange (Male) and the Red Brown (Female) would definitely pair up and breed. (Im not sure of the type that would be bred though?)

I had a few females but kept my best mom to downsize due to time commitments elsewhere.

The little Orange is about 6 months off from being an adult and may be a female (but not sure)

The Big Orange bred about 120 young around 6 months ago in a small 45cm x 30 cm tank. He is a great dad as he has a huge area for them to leach onto and they were in the tank together for some time until I moved the young into a grow out tank.
