Hi,
I have a pidgeon blood who in causing quite some concearn:

Intially the fish was staying at the top of the water with his mouth close to the surface (but not breaking the surface).
When he see's me he will lower his head to a normal swiming angle. once he could not see me any further he would return to the above described angle.

This went on for several days, eventually I moved him to my hospital tank.

Once in the hospital tank he swam on a normal angle and no longer hovered with his mouth near the surface.

A couple of days later he developed tail rot and lost 5mm of his tail. I used melifix at this stage.

2 days later I cought his eating 1 blood worm from a blood worm cube.

Rarely does he eat now (Approx 1 week)
Plus his tail and lower fin are slowly turning a solid black.

I am leaving the country for 2 weeks on monday. I have a friend feeding the fish and doing 2 water changes for me whilst i am away.

My concearn is that whilst i am away the fish will pass away unless I can find a fix.

Your urgent help is most appreciated.

By the way. the fish is around 10com in size if this is relevant.

The fish I have had for over 12 months,

He used to breed with one of my blue turks, but stop all of a suden and became aggresive towards the female. Started to eraticly zoom around the tank into the glass heater etc.
There was noting on the outside of the tank scarying the fish....
