I picked up some Blue Angels on the weekend. He said they were imported from Singapore. I've not seen any in Australia personally so i guess they are relatively new to OZ. Anyone else got some????

These pics don't do them justice cause the flash washes out all the blue...

They are still very small so i would expect the colour to intensify as they mature. Can't wait to breed them!

What do you think was crossed or line bred to achieve this result? (a questions for all you genetics people out there)

Your comments are welcomed

Matt

hey matt, i've got a gorgeous pair of blues, definitely the prettiest angels i've kept. from a distance they look like old-school silver scalares, and then when the light hits them they glisten blue - the tail of my male has to be seen to be believed. like you, i can't take a picture that does them justice. mine are learning what to do breeding-wise, just had their third batch of eggs - it will take them another couple of rounds to get it right. everyone who comes over comments on them - they are in a 6foot tank, the proud king and queen.

hope you get as much enjoyment out of yours!

Took some pics tonight

tried not using flash and got a mixed result

tank looks better but fish are just a blur... i figured you've seen the fish so it's better to show the tank without the flash

Cheers

I've never really been a fan of angels but these are beautiful. I would be very keen for some if some one could let me know if there are more around. More than happy to pay for shipping.

time for a winner!

I'm giving the result based on how many I can see with the naked eye, not editing the image, or enlarging etc etc

I can see 19 fish so congrats to Mr Wild

Scott if you didn't change your guess you would have won but becuase you changed it Mr Wild takes the prize

Congratulations Kath you win 10 stunning little koi marble angels. I guess your hubby will take them when he picks up the black velvets.

Thanks everyone for playing

There is one in the bamboo pipe thingo and another near the black angel on the underside of the driftwood. Out of interest Matt what fish are actually in the tank? I swear I see a 9th cardinal! (Not disputing as I don't really have the room for them anyway  )
