Hi
I have had discus for a number of years now and had no problems. But my discus are dying. I have lost 3 in the last 2 days. The water is fine; PH is 6.80 temp is 28c. The discus i have left are all hiding. All the other fish I have in the tank are fine. I think it may be a bad batch of frozen blood worn I feed then (aqua one) Dos anyone know what the problem could be and what I can do
Thanks
John

Hi john
A couple of questions
1 . Whats your ammonia
2 . nitrates levels .
3 . How often do you change water and how much .
These are a couple of things that will help people help you with your problem.

Hey John
How long has your tank been running for,as if it is cycled properly you should have some nitrates .
Also forgot to ask your nitrite levels .
And how often do you change water and how much do you change .

Hi Again
The fish are more or less the same colour as they should be, but they are hiding and there are no visible signs of anything on them . The other fish I have that are fine are Clown loach’s, neon’s and Bristlenose Catfish

I would start by doing a large water change say 80%. Then do daily water changes about 60ltrs to 80ltrs for a few days and see if they pick up .

Changing 30 litres or about 15% twice a week? Try that every day or more per change. Discus need better water than the other fish mentioned.

If there is something else wrong this will still be good for your fish.
