Hi, i have a big problem!
i am starting to get quite a bit of Black Algae in my tank.
I put a 4 small S A E in the in a 220 litre tank, because they are the only fish that are supposed to eat it. So far they haven't touched the stuff, and there's other algae they probably prefer first. I have BN's as well, but they only seem to eat surface algae, not black algae.

what is the easiest way to get rid of this?
some people suggest a overdose of Seachem Flourish Excel can knock it out, but i am scared of losing some plants and fish .
Also bleaching?
i dont want to lose any of my discus?

your help would be appreciated

hydrogen peroxide works well.

best thing is to prune old leaves off swords and anubias that have lage ammounts of bba, any filter parts, heaters or drift wood can be removed and treated with hydrogen peroxide in a bucket.

start dosing excell as per normal it wil slow the bba till your SAE's can get on top of it.

DO IT IN A BUCKET, NOT IN THE TANK.
