We all knwo that our fish, especially discus love and do well on (parasite and germ free) blackworms. Tubifex seem to be a thing of the past.
Does anyone know or produce thier own black worms? At $2.50 for a serve at most aquarium shops they are not the cheapest live food.
Even bulk buying at my local, $57- for 1/2 a litre, my 6 tanks of fish can easily eat them all within a week!

I have heard through the grapevine that there is really only one producer in australia, on the nsw , victoria border.

My only guess would be is that he or she has a couple of ferrari's and maybe a lambagini or 2 in thier garage!!!!

so again, i ask does anyone produce thier own at home?
if so maybe they could tell us a few secrets (or two!?)

cheers!

Ive seen the procedures done at the CBW (californian black worms) plant and it looks like alot of work. Maybe $2.50 wont look that bad when you see the effort that is involved..

Do a search for CBW on google..

LOL!!!!
Ok, maybe i will stick with trying to grow white worms!!!
i did the search and found a few sites, wow! its look more involved in setting up a blackworm farm than actually growing the little buggers!

cheers, flukes!
