I use sterbai cories. They don't seem to poop so much & seem to do a great job of cleaning.

Sterbai are great for bottom cleaning, but they dont do the sides. I have a few bristlenose plecos for that. (small ones)

The most effective way is, remove the left overs or the poops on the tank.
Avoid feeding the discus very late at night. Just remove the left overs and change at least 15 % water before going to bed.
Good luck. ;D

Thanks guys for the advice. I definetly do the water changes but I thought there may be something else to help me as well. I have thrown a couple of baby bristlenoses in to help keep it clean

Wont the bristlenoses eat the eggs/fry?
I caught mine snacking on guppy fry...(it was in a fry saver and the bristlenose was sucking it through the gaps at the bottom) It wasnt an adult either!!

My discus fry are about the size of a 10 cent piece and in a tank on their own so I don't have to worry about the bristlenoses eating them :D
