At what age do discus begin to spawn??

whats the typical time i can expect to see juveniles begin to lay eggs, the reason im asking is because i though i had bought juvenile discus only to have them lay eggs 3 months after i purchased them.... and to find out they are stunted as well.

12-18mts in my tanks but other people have spawned them at 9-11 months old
