View Full Version : FS Peppermint BN Breeding Pairs and more

I am clearing out several of my tanks due to work commitments limiting my available time to keep them up to a high standard.
What is on offer.
At least 7-8 Breeding Peppermint BN pairs.
Most of the pairs have only bred a few times (young, i.e. 2yrs old) with the main breeding colony (3M, 2F) having produced hundreds of baby BN's over the past couple of years.
Along with the Adults, there are close to 20-30 (cant count due to many large pieces of driftwood in the tank) sub adults, juvies, there could be as many as 50, I am not going to clear out the tanks to do a count.
They are not being listed anywhere else, so if you know someone that is interested, they need to register on DiscusForums and make an offer in this thread.
I am not setting a price, rather using an auction type format for this sale.
Make an offer in this thread and whoever has the highest bid/offer by 9pm (Sydney time) on Monday the 22nd of June 2009 gets the lot.
Aside from the Peppermint BN's the highest bidder will also get a very large chunk of driftwood which I have been offered $150-200 for in the past, this piece of wood is an excellent centre piece in any tank.
Also includes 4-5 smaller pieces of driftwood which have some nice little hiding places for pairs to breed
Some basic rules.
DO NOT PM making an offer. If the offer is not made in this thread it doesnt count.
DO NOT PM or e-mail asking questions
PICK UP ONLY from Sylvania
If you don't like the concept of making an offer or bidding on this, then sorry, I cant please everyone.
Once these BN's have been sold, 2 x 5ft display tanks, cabinets and all components will be listed for sale.
Thank you.

I am trying to dig up some pics of the driftwood...
It appeared in the Aquarium DVD that was filmed down at Xtreme a few years ago
http://www.discusforums.com/forum/files/crystal_creek.jpg
(the wood is on its side in this pic, it is just on 2 feet tall when standing, 2.5ft wide)
when I find other pics they will added

As a sweetener, whoever has the highest bid will also have first option on my 5ft euro brace tank, cabinet, background, sump etc which I was going to list for sale starting at $450 for $200. Those on here that have seen the tank, or know the quality of an xtreme tank and custom cabinet know this setup is worth $1,000+. The tank setup is just over 2 years old, and has not been in use for the past year.

Sorry folks, but I seriously need to re-evaluate how to sort this situation out.
A couple of other people who were not sure regarding the end time have sent PM's with bids, plus I would rather keep everything out in the open instead of via PM (too messy).
Plus of the remaining few who sent bids via PM, they were all the same amount...
The last bid prior to 7.00pm was by Ivan at $1,450.00
Bidding will now resume at that level and finish at 9pm tonight (Sydney time)
If the Peppermints and wood sell for less than the highest bid last night, then so be it.
Whoever has the highest bid with a post time of 8.59pm (according to my view time, which is Sydney time) gets the lot.
The tank as per offer above is still available as well.
Sorry if this messes anyone around.
So, bidding has now resumed, starting price $1,450.00

Plus 2-3 of the Peppermint Males once out in the open (always had a thing for hiding in wood caves etc, would be the biggest Peppermint BN's you have ever seen, with good markings all over
