Best Apisto for a Discus tank?

All,

I would like to know what you think would be the best Apisto (or other dwarf cichlid) for a discus tank.

PH around 5.8, temp 29 to 30.

With the higher temps, is there one (some) species that will do better than others?

Brad,

I have never kept Discus but I know a little about Apistos.

Your PH would suits most apistogramma species but you are correct in being concerned about the temperature. Some types like A.Borelli and A.Agassizi have an ideal temp of 25'C.

Although I have never tried it, they say A.Macmasteri,A.Viejita and A.Steindachneri are been known to handle these temps. A.,Nijsseni, A.Panduro and A.Baenschi are other possibles.

I hope this is some help but maybe someone else with experience in both Discus and Dwarfs can give you a better opinion.

I would reccomend Rams - best at taking the higher temp
