Number of discus in my tank and a question about breeding

Hi

A brief description of my setup before I ask what I want to know:

- 215L AquaOne 980T setup (prob 4 foot long) with 3 cobalt blue discus which I've had for the last 5 months I reckon

Now what I want to know is..

1: How many discus can I safely fit in this tank?
2: Will it be OK to have more discus than a single breeding pair in this one tank for the breeding pair to successfully breed? At this stage I am not sure if I am able to purchase say a 6 foot tank to divide into either 2 or 3 sections for breeding.

Hi Sam,

General rule of thumb is each adult fish requires 50L of water. To breed sucessfully you really need to seperate the pair
