UV

Hi Guys

Sorry this might be a silly question but im still learning.

What is the good & bad side of using a UV light?

If for example i brought a discus with gill fluke or some other health problem, will the UV fix the problem?

uv will not fix the problem it will help stop the infection spreading from fish to fish, it wont stop it but it will slow it down and help stop it comming back.

on the bad side there is a school of thought that fished raised with a uv have a lower immune system and dont do as well when moved to a tank with no UV.
