Hi all

I got a bit carried away with the pictures, so sorry it might be a bit repetitive.

Don't know how I missed this when I was picking him out of the bunch, but it looks like one of his pelvic fins maybe suffered damage in the past :( as it is shorter than the other one, but abruptly so, as if by damage rather than by uneven natural growth. Does this fin repair itself?

One of my stunted alenquer discus will keep him company in his QT.

Awsome fish - for some reason i LOVE Albino's - dont have any - want a few - but still ... dont have any

Regarding the fin - yes it should grow back over time if it was some sort of attack - some people might say to us Melafix - i wouldn't as you dont know if its an attack or an abnormality.

Time will tell.

I am a sucker for albinos. I have room for 1 more fish and it will be an albino, I just haven't come across one that is stunning like any of those. Robyn that fish is beautiful.

Thanks to all of you for such nice comments about my new little guy. I was so happy with him, I posted his pic on a couple of forums and, so far, I've only received one negative comment about him.

I've only received one negative comment about him.

What was that comment - just out of curiosity - if you don't mind me asking?

I think I see the comment on the other forum, I wouldn't bother with it. Some people just like to nit-pick with other people's fish making them doubt what they see or have.
It is a lovely fish Robyn, still young, lots of time to grow in your care. I would leave it alone for now.

No Matt, I have a little self control  They certainly are nice though. I am (once I move house and set up again) going to get 'special fish' but cant say right now which type  but I do love those fish!!

What was that comment - just out of curiosity - if you don't mind me asking? This was the comment on the other forum:

"Wait, you mean, people are now breeding discus without colour?!
Whyyyy?! "

No-one else on that forum even commented on him - it's not really a discus forum, so I guess they don't understand the appeal. In particular, that person couldn't see the beauty in a white discus. Oh well.

Thanks to everyone here for the nice comments.

Thanks for the kind words Steve too (and the help on the colour feed question - forgot to say that in the other thread & there's no edit button to fix that up on that thread

Grrr

My new little albino hasn't been eating as well as he should. Tonight both he & his QT buddy have stringy white jelly poops. The albino must be the source, as his QT buddy is one of my known healthy stunted fish, that I was using as a hero to keep him company in QT.

Oh well, lucky I have Big L on hand.
