How many discus... [Archive]

I currently have a 6 foot tank with 7 baby angels, 5 peppermints, 2 clown loaches, 4 dwarf gourami (one breeding pair), 6 diamond tetra and 4 rosy barbs. How many discus do you think would be able to fit in there? Are all these fish suitable to be kept with them? I am considering getting rid of the rosy barbs...they are too active and greedy!

Hey barracuda you said your tank is 6ft but by what 2ftx2ft or 18inx18in ect.You need to know how many litres the tank is to decide on how many discus you can have.The general rule is 1 fish per 10gallons of water. I would get rid of the rosy barbs,me personaly wouldnt have angels and discus together but others might.The rest should be ok

The tank is about 350L

I would say 9 discus but if you keep the angels it would be a few less i would think.

350L with 7 angels is getting a little close to full I'd only add 4 discus to that system MAX but to be honest I'd be looking to move on the angels
