Eruption pair fighting

Hi :)

I have a pair of eruptions in a 2x18x18 ive been conditioning up to breed.

The male now is starting to bully the female and stress her out abit, and am looking for suggestions on what to do ?

Should i put another discus in there? am not sure where to go atm.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Craig, is it a bb tank? add some objects to break up the tank, are you sure they are a pair? adding a fish could help. but you know what we always say about keepng 3's.
Possiby raising the ph could make them less twitchy if you are getting them ready for breeding.

They are in a BB tank with a sponge filter and a spawning cone, so may like you have suggested add some plants or some wood to the tank.

Am still tossing up whether to put them back into the main tank and let them grow some more, they were sold as a breeding pair but still look quite young to me.

While ive got you :) Whats the best way to try and pair up some fish, would changing my eruputions back to the main tank and putting in 2 leopards into the 2x18x18 i suspect will pair up work ?
