Hi,
I have 2 pairs of orangeheads in a 4ft tank. Both pairs have laid eggs, (initially these were eaten after a couple of days) then more lately, taken the eggs / lava into their mouths after a couple of days, held the eggs and even on one occasion let the fry swim out. However, within a couple of days (before the fry lose all their egg sacs) the fry disappear - I presume eaten by the parents.
I suppose I need to be patient if I want the parents to raise the fry by themselves but does anyone have any experience in terms of how long it generally takes for the parents to get the hang of it.
Thanks
Graham
