The Raleigh Aquarium Society invites you to attend our Twenty-first Annual Carolina Aquarium Workshop. We have an excellent line up of speakers representing many different aspects of the aquarium hobby. Our workshop offers you the opportunity to get information, ask questions, and to share ideas or problems with other hobbyists. Past workshops have had attendees from several states, especially from North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Virginia.
The registration fee covers the Friday evening and Saturday daytime programs and exhibits. There is no registration fee for Sunday’s auction. On Saturday we will again have two mini auctions that will feature plants and fish items belonging to the Raleigh Aquarium Society.
Many aquarium shops and manufacturers serving this region donated aquarium equipment and supplies, offered in the raffles and auction. We appreciate the support the Workshop receives from these businesses.
Friday: Native fish collecting trip begins at 12:30pm. Registration starts at 7:00pm. Speakers: Chad Bryant on Coral Propagation: A New Age in Reefkeeping and Neal Isaacs on Marine Invertebrates in the Aquarium.
Saturday: Registration starts at 8:30am. Speakers: Tim Thimios on Discus; Randy Carey on Practices and Qualities of the Master Breeders; Rusty Wessel on Collecting in Mexico; and Ken Davis on Unusual Livebearer Species – more speakers to be added. Dinner is at 6:30pm with guest speaker Randy Carey on Why My Hands are Wet.
Sunday: Giant Auction of Fish, Plants and Accessories and much much more. Auction Registration begins at 9:00am. Auction starts promptly at 11:30am.
