I really would like to say thanks to everyone here for their advice. I have a tank full of happy healthy beautiful colorful discus that keep me entertained everday. After such a disasterous beginning I can now recongnise when something is not right and have some knowledge on how to deal with it. If it wasn't for this forum this would not be the case, i just would be drooling over discus on the net and in aquariums. So thanks

I researched for about 3 - 4 months pretty much every day except most weekends before buying my first discus. You know what - although it helped ALOT, nothing can compare to 'on the job training'. This forum with a keen, receptive owner like yourself is a good match for your fishies. :lol:
