Having only recently proclaimed the emergence of a brood of A.jurensis I again find myself with yet another and identical proclamation - the emergence of a brood of A.jurensis. While this might spur on an array of congratulations these fish were all born to the same male, in the same tank and the emergence was only 4 days apart. Consider also that as the 2nd female and the father fish were seriously harrasing the other male prior to breeding, I placed a divider into the tank. This left to 2 females and the dominant male in one half of a 2 foot tank (60cm x 30cm x 30cm). This is not a lot of room for two protective females, and their young, who are claiming land rights. So....I am now on alert, am concerned and am rehousing the lone male to make more room - wish me luck. oh yeah, I also took a pair of adult jurensis to my LFS, the manager of which has taken them home.
