I like to hand feed at least once a day to make sure they are stuffed and to check health, this is the pair of Discus I got from SouthWest. Yes, I think they are male and female, and they are getting better about their sibling rivalry. They lock up once in a while and do a little pecking but both stay out together most of the time

Sorry about the cloudiness, I thinned out the plants and did a little relocating. I only have a Wet/Dry sump on it now, use a Magnum 350 once in a while to get the silt out. I think I'll dig out my Eheim 2215 and run it full time, the Cory and Octo's stir up a lot of the Laterite silt

They are still very small and trying to say they are male or female at that age is very difficult. But they look like good enough fish. Also, you might find that by being in a planted tank their growth will suffer, they might even stunt. Sometimes it is a wiser move to raise small fish in a bare bottomed tank where you can do large regular water changes and remove uneaten food right away. Fish will grow quicker this way and be in an optimum environment. If you have another tank I would seriously think about it. I am not saying it is impossible in a planted tank, but not recommended. What is your water change regime? and how much do you change?

Good luck
