they will go great with discus, they love em. tho rather expensive discus food...

Hey Meiji,

Love those little guys.

What water properties are suitable & tank size needed to keep 15, also what do you "yourself" feed them?

Also, would they grow up with baby blue yabbies that are currently around the same size?

Would certainly be interested in 15 if suits my water conditions & tank size.

If you have lots of GREAT hiding places, plants etc and put them in before the discus so they can set up home base - they might last a few months. Discus will gobble them up if they find them. Im keen to test it out one day when i have the spare cashola.

Hi All,

I started out with 2 to try in my discus tank that has 12 discus in it,i now have about 10 shrimp.I think that when they have bred the discus have eaten a lot of the babies though.The kids love trying to spot them and count how many the can see in the big tank.

Hi all,

I have only tried keeping/breeding them successfully with small tetras, rasboras and ottocinclus and i would not recommend keeping them together with babie yabbies or discus etc. This would be at your own risk.

Cherries are very easy to keep. Water para would be pH 7.2 straight from the tap with only the appropriate amount of water ager to go with it. The important thing is keeping temp around 22*c is ideal although they will tolerate range 16*c - 26*c.

Feeding them are even simpler, Hikari crab cuisines and occassional left over frozen worms and blanch veggies here and there.
