Filtration for a 5x2x1.6 [Archive]

i was thinking of getting a rena xp4 for my 5x2x1.6, done anyone know what they are like? ive heard rave reviews on the xp3 have not heard much about the xp4 tho. also would this be enough filtration?

I have both, but I prefer my XP4 because of the extra media basket that I use for bio-filtration. However, the price-to-performance difference between the XP4 and XP3 does NOT warrant the purchase of the XP4. I rather purchase 2 XP3's than 1 XP4.

im not sure where u bought your x's from but i have seen them online and the xp4 is only $25 more than the xp3. for this reason i think ill buy the xp4.
