My pair A. steindachneri proudly escorted their brood across the tank today. The PH was a little above neutral and temp at 26 degrees. Water also mildly stained by driftwood tannis. The fry are being fed micro worms and cyclop-eeze. This is the 2nd spawn this week (the A. gibboceps spawned on ther 4th) and I am a very delighted fish-daddy :-) Now I gotta get my Jurensis and Boreli to play the game heh heh heh
I started with 4 fish, 3 males and 1 female in a 2 foot tank. I relocated 2 fish to a 4 foot bare-bottom grow-out tank full of bristlenose and plecos. The driftwood in this tank was leaching tannis into the water. 4 ceramic D caves were also present hidden beneath a slab of slate. Within days the brood emerged.
