My water in my 4 foot planted tank always has a very slight milky tinge to it. The aquarium is well established and had plenty of filtration. Ammonia nitrite and nitrates are all at 0. I have a few pieces of drift wood that i have had in there for quite a while that are from a LFS

Still i cant seem to get the water looking crystal clear. always has this annoying milky tinge...anyone got any idea's ?

Cheers

I have found that stuffing the top of my cannisters with filter wool/floss really does the trick. It seems to have the ability to trap the very tiny particles left in suspension in the water. It also makes a great biofilter. You must watch that your intakes to your cannisters are also covered with a sponge to stop too much waste going through your filter, this will help too. hth
