parkistani loaches

I have two parkitani loaches, both purchased about 3 months ago as very small fish( half an inch). Both have thrived well and are now four times the size. Both were nicely coloured but have suddenly lost all colour in the space of 24 hours and are now silver/white. What can be going on?
They are both still active and lively. Any suggestions?

Usually when a fish goes that colour they are stressed. Can you tell us your water parameters i.e - ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, temperature. I'd recommend you do a 30% water change and see how that goes.

many thks Jes. Loaches are back to normal. It lasted about 24 houirs.
I agree with you that it was probably something that stressed them. Water is ok and I do 25% change twice a week.
