Hello Board,
I've been keeping various aquariums for years now and I'm in the midst of setting up my 550g monster aquarium, which will have discus as the display fish. It's been a while since I kept discus so I though I'd brush up on my information base.
As a result I've been jumping around various forums digging up inspiration, ideas and drooling over discus.

Thanks for the greetings everyone.
I'm not sure yet how many I'll stock in the tank - it'll depend on how I set up the filtration and the aquascaping.
The biggest glitch right now seems to be the quality of the water from our pipes. Toronto normally has decent water but ours comes out of the pipes with a faint yellow tint. We only noticed when filling up the hottub. (My boyfriend and I really really like water.)
I haven't brought any water in to be tested yet (and my MasterKit is still packed from moving over the summer)
But I'm guessing this will just mean even more fun construction!
