Proud Parent

Hey guys im now a proud parent, the male is rearing the young on his own and seems to be doing alright. There arent to many babies on 10 -12 but i think thats ok as it is his first time father.

He is a blue diamond and the female is a snake skin of some type. If anyone knows what type of snakeskin that would be handy to know

congrats - are the dad and the young in their own tank?

yeh the male is on his own in a 2 foot tank bare bottom with a sponge filter and heater. The male hangs around the sponge not sure if that is so the fry can eat off the sponge as well... plus when the filter is on the fry tend to swim away and stay at the top of the water. When the filter is off they hang off the male... but there needs to airation in the tank so how do i fix this???
