What type of sand???

I am about to set up my new Geo tank and was wondering which type of sand/substrate everyone has.

1-2mm sand or fine gravel i like black because it looks more natural and dosnt reflect light

i realise this is an old post but for any future people who read this, I have used "16/30 white" sand in over 10 of my own tanks for the past 3 years and it works really well. You can get it through most shops in Melbourne even though most of them don't stock it.
Wash it lightly before use, do not wash with pressure hose.
It is PH neutral and should cost no more than $30 for a 20kg bag
