It would appear that my tap water is at about 20ppm. This is very annoying. Anyone else have this problem?

Unfortunately I have the same problem... actually worse because my tap water is at 25 to 30 mg/l.
Any suggestions?

I've been having the same problem lately. Nitrates is now at 20, and i'm also getting a reading of 2 for nitrite. Needless to say, i'm using only rainwater until the readings go back down.

So how do you get your nitrates below 22ppm?

or a simple solution would be to setup a barrel for your tap water, like you have for your rain water.
just fill it up on sunday, next sunday the water should be clean (run a test to be sure) then you just pump the water into 5 gallon jugs, every sunday, and refill the barrel with fresh tap water.
depending on the depth of the barrel and the quality of the water will determine how often you can pump water out of the barrel for use in your tanks.

Maybe put a filter on your sinks faucet? or down below your faucet?
