I have a blue diamond that has taken over one corner of the tank and become very agressive when any other discus goes near. He charges them and crashes into them is this normal?

Yes it is normal. It usually happens when a young female reaches sexual maturity and selects a breeding site, with or without a male.

Let them sort things out themselves, and hopefully she'll find a mate soon and you'll have some nice babies to raise.
