Hi All
I use RO water as a constant drip into my tank at 4l/h in a 1000l tank. The problem id the water is cold. It does not cause much of an issue as my 2x 300 Jager's cope well in keeping the temp at 28.5. I was thinking.... I have a spare UV unit that is not used at the moment, if I run the incoming water over the UV before it gets to the tank, would it warm the water significantly? Very slow flow rate... would the UV overheat?
Running a 30W UV may be cheaper for heating than having the heaters in the tank working more than neccesary...
Cheers
