How old are discus usually before they are matured and fully grown?

AS a general rule, they reach sexual maturity at around 10 to 12 months, but this can depend on the conditions the fish was raised in. I would expect a well grown fish, raised under the right conditions, to reach around 6 inches (not including the tail) in 12 months.
They do continue to grow as they age, but the growth rate is very much slower.
