R/O Filter? Good Idea? Bad Idea?

I'm looking into getting an RO filter to filter the water going into my water storage tank. Are there any advantages or disadvantages? Should I mix RO water and normal tap water to get a few of the minerals in it? Thanks

i would, fish wont do well in pure ro water, mixing 20-25% tap water will go along way towards helping them out, it will also help keep your tank more stable.

The advantage is that you fish will be more healthy and the disadvantage is that it takes up a lot of space. I'd go for it, but why mix it with the tap water though. There should be a solution that you can add to replace those minerals, drfostersmith sells them.
