Tank Slime

Hey guys, I'm new to the hobby. Lately i've been noticing alot of slime on the surface of my discus tank (75 gallon) I was wondering if it would be benificial to use a protein skimmer to clear it off or if that could some way hurt my fish. Thanks.

Skimmers are great for removing it, you dont need a super stand alone powered skimmer, a slave skimmer that bolts onto your canister like the eheim unit would do the job.
