WTB - Root looking driftwood

Im after driftwood that represents Roots and or branches. Im after largish sizes if possible.

There are some excellent pieces at Sth Windsor Fish hatchery. Prices are great too. Was there today and was tempted :)

Aaron i've got a few mangrove roots if you want them each is around 35-45cm across and about 30-35 tall.

will try and get some pics for you, i bought these off ron at fishrock a while back, the root end is 35-45 and the stem end is 35, you could lyr them on their sides if you wanted.

Yeah am looking to make a fake rock type cave area and am wanting to have the driftwood/roots cascading down through the water vertically/branching out from this rock. kinda hard to explain what i have in my head. Pics would be great - just so i dont waste your time mate. :)

Hi forum,
I've used a fallen misletoe stem in my tank.
If you look around the bush, there are many (well, in my neck of the woods anyway). Get and old dried one..
They look pretty good imo.

food for thought anyway.

How big is your tank?

I can get similar drift wood peices to whats in my tank. but that would be the smallest peice.

it would come un prepared but cheap.
I cant give a price atm as I go and select a peice on demand. comes off a farm out in the sticks past Murray Bridge in SA. but it would be something like 50 bucks + postage.

My tank is 5.5L x 2H x 2.5W (Feet). Its biggish although still a shoe box comared to some out there.

Awesome. Thanks mate - no stress though - only if your going there anyway as im confident i will be able to pick some up here is NSW. Im just focusing on a few other non tank related things at the moment so...

Im looking for branch / root pieces as apposed to stump or log pieces. See what you can find.

I have come back with some good peices.

found some good root styles
and hollow branch/ roots types.

I am checking for sink-ability at the moment whilst giving them a clean up.

weather is bad but i will get some shots up soon.
prob only 25 a peice. or less.

Hi,

Firstly, thank you for your scouting. Do you live in Sydney? I would like to come have a closer look. None of them are initially what i had in mind. The roots could possibly be shaped - are they dried out?.

Also, some pieces look a little rottin from pics - is that just the pics?

Some cool peices i could do something with though would like to check them out. :)
