Hi,
i have just noticed that most of my fish havent got clear eyes they are a little cloudy, yet my red melon has very clear eyes. Is it got somthing to do with the bred of them.??? They all very healthy is it somthing to worry about?? Cheers Axl

Are the eyes cloudy or just "not bright".
do a quick check of your water chemistry look for NH3, you might have trace ammounts (just registering on your test kit).
a good water change will proably fix them up.

yeah there just not bright as compared to 1 of my red melons that is very clear. Nothing to worry about then Cheers Axl

Axl,
Illusn suggested water changing, this is the problem. Maybe do more frequent water changes, that was the advice.

I used mela fix on my discus cloudy eye.
I aquired a tank from a mate with a 1 way ticket to europe, he had not cleaned anything for months and had too many fish in the tank.
water was nearly black (the poor fish) and all their eyes were cloudy and cataract like. I used melafix and mal. green. and with in a month they are nearly good as new
